Terms & Conditions

At EZ Signs & Branding, we aim to provide a professional, transparent, and efficient service. Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before accepting a quotation or placing an order.

 

  1. Quotation Validity
  • All quotations are valid for 14 calendar days from the date of issue.
  • After this period, pricing may be subject to review due to changes in material costs, supplier pricing, or other factors.

 

  1. Acceptance of Quotation
  • Acceptance of a quotation, whether verbally, by email, or by issuing an official purchase order, constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
  • Once accepted, the quotation becomes a binding agreement between the client and EZ Signs & Branding.

 

  1. Payment Terms
  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, an 80% deposit is required before production can commence.  The remaining balance is payable upon completion, prior to installation or collection.
  • Certain projects may require full payment upfront, particularly for custom-manufactured products, special-order materials, or first-time clients.
  • Production will only begin once the required payment has been received and artwork has been approved.

 

  1. Artwork Approval
  • Clients are responsible for carefully reviewing and approving all artwork, layouts, dimensions, colours, spelling, and specifications before production begins.
  • Once artwork has been approved, any requested changes may result in additional artwork charges, material costs, production delays, or the need to remake the product.
  • EZ Signs & Branding cannot be held responsible for errors that were present on approved artwork.
  1. Production & Lead Times
  • Production lead times are estimates only and may vary depending on workload, material availability, supplier lead times, and project complexity.
  • While every effort is made to meet estimated completion dates, these dates are not guaranteed.

 

  1. Installation

Installation dates are estimates and may be affected by factors beyond our reasonable control, including:

    • Weather conditions
    • Site readiness and accessibility
    • Material availability
    • Equipment breakdowns
    • Delays caused by third parties

EZ Signs & Branding will communicate any unavoidable delays as soon as reasonably possible.

 

  1. Ownership of Goods
  • All goods supplied remain the property of EZ Signs & Branding until payment has been received in full.
  • The company reserves the right to withhold delivery or installation of products where outstanding balances remain unpaid.

 

  1. Cancellations & Deposits
  • Deposits are non-refundable once production has commenced, as materials are ordered and products are manufactured specifically for each client.
  • Any refunds will be handled in accordance with the applicable provisions of the South African Consumer Protection Act where required.

 

  1. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for ensuring that:

  • All required municipal or council approvals and permits have been obtained where necessary.
  • Safe and unrestricted access to the installation site is available.
  • Existing electrical connections, where required, are installed and compliant.
  • The installation area is structurally suitable for the intended signage.

Additional costs arising from site delays, restricted access, or incomplete site preparation may be charged separately.

 

  1. Asbestos & Hazardous Materials
  • For the safety of our staff and in accordance with health and safety regulations, EZ Signs & Branding reserves the right to refuse installations on structures containing asbestos or other hazardous materials.
  • Where asbestos-containing materials are present, written confirmation from a qualified asbestos contractor may be required before any work can proceed.

 

  1. Limitation of Liability
  • EZ Signs & Branding will exercise reasonable care and skill in the manufacture and installation of all products.
  • We shall not be liable for delays, damage, or failure to perform resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of nature, supplier shortages, power failures, labour disruptions, or government restrictions.

 

  1. Warranty
  • Any workmanship warranty applies only where products have been installed by EZ Signs & Branding.
  • Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, vandalism, extreme weather, improper maintenance, unauthorised alterations, or normal wear and tear.

 

  1. Acceptance

By accepting our quotation or placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
